As an aerial solution for on-demand green energy we can supply energy anywhere in the world when people need it the most. For this purpose we intend to implement our power plants to be used for energy supply to remote locations and areas of natural disasters. As a remote energy source we can create a rapid supply of energy to remote locations, areas affected by earthquakes, floods or other natural disasters.
It is with this kind of application we can not only produce renewable energy on-demand but use it to help saves lives around the world. Our product can be made to construct large power plants but our main objective is to use this technology to help save lives directly. As a drone based technology it has many advantages, removing the need to secure fuel for energy production during the most important missions to date, the ones to save and rescue lives.
At any time an earthquake can happen, a tornado can wreak havoc or floods can devastate regions. Even exploring remote locations or mountain exploration can be dangerous but still require on-demand energy. It is with these aspects of life we can provide the electricity needed to help in any search and rescue attempt, excavation or exploration. With such great versatility we can supply energy for offshore applications which can help with any exploration offshore or onshore.
While limited fuels such as fossil fuels are causing a stranglehold on the economy, even some gas suppliers are looking towards renewable generation for their future . More clean sources are needed however as energy demand increases more offshore exploration and drilling still occurs. Our solution will be able to power such offshore sites in order to reduce their carbon footprint and bring the costs for production down. In effect this has the potential to aid in lowering the price per barrel for oil production.
Energy production benefits
There are many benefits to our solution when it becomes commercially viable. For solar energy generation we can benefit from an increase in energy production using our solution (at altitudes above 30,000ft). This is due to the absence of interference from weather and a greater intensity of sunlight, both directly from the sun and from solar energy reflected from clouds. As such one large benefit of our technology is that we can create this capacity of electrical output while reducing the land requirements to zero and creating a greater supply. This creates a clear benefit for energy harvesting through our intellectual property (IP).
As a composite aerial power plant we intend to produce a total capacity in excess of 400MW. In effect making such a power plant one of the most innovative, cost effective, renewable and cheaper sources of energy. Reduced transmission costs
As well as the great benefits of increased solar power production within our solution we can potentially save the UK Energy sector a potential of £17 billion from offshore transmission costs.
The future for offshore wind energy production and transmission could cost up to £17 billion which will be passed onto the consumer. This was published in a report released in January 2013 . Our product will not only allow for the benefits of increased energy production but will also have a large impact on this future cost. More accurately we can completely remove the need for offshore connections and thus eliminate this cost, potentially saving the UK energy sector a further £17 billion.
Eliminating these kinds of wired connections across offshore generation projects like ours will not only reduce the operational costs but will also reduce the large quantities of copper used for each installation.
Our technology is tailored to work alongside wireless power transmission (WPT) which is currently being researched by large projects in America and Japan. This will eliminate these high transmission costs and allow us to build a wireless energy network to balance our electrical output from renewable sources.
Our technology has tremendous possibilities for growth however this is matched only by the product's versatility and scalability. As a new form of power plant requiring zero land, consisting of a fast response and implementation time we can truly reap the benefits of wireless power transmission. Reduced generation costs
One of the most crucial advantages for this venture is its cost effectiveness. As energy becomes more expensive to the consumer and the demand for energy increases, cost is a big issue. Wind power is currently a large interest for renewable energy generation and investors however it cannot supply energy on-demand and it is still expensive.
Our technology along with our initial research is more expensive than conventional wind and nuclear power, however, the long term costs and internal growth far outweigh this cost. This makes our project and the technology involved a far more cost effective investment and project than offshore wind, nuclear power and solar farms. This is while still allowing for a greater future growth after investment, something which is not achievable with an offshore or terrestrial wind turbine or array of solar panels.
